Story:
Conner Lundius is a beacon of hope in the dance community. In this episode, Conner discusses adaptive dance and accessibility in the dance world. Although dance may look different for some people, there is still joy, passion and fun to be had by all. Conner discusses the Rollettes, an all-female wheelchair dance team and how their choreography has been adapted by both standing and seated dancers. Conner also tells us where to find the Rollettes in action and how to support them!
About Our Guest:
Conner Lundius is a dancer and choreographer for the Rollettes dance team. She currently serves as Team Captain and Director of Outreach & Social Media. Conner danced competitively for almost a decade before suffering an L2 spinal cord injury in a car crash that left her paralyzed. After adjusting to life in a wheelchair, Conner found the Rollettes, a dance team that "aims to empower women with disabilities to live boundlessly and shift perspectives through dance". Conner discusses how she adapted to her new way of life, and why dance plays such a huge role.
